Born in Tehran, Marzieh Nazemzadeh is an Iranian artist whose boundless passion for painting has shaped her transformative artistic journey. In 2000, she immersed herself in an unconventional informal studio class, refining her skills and immersing herself in the profound world of form and aesthetics. Influenced by renowned Impressionists like Claude Monet and Edgar Degas, she drew inspiration from their masterpieces.
As her artistic exploration expanded, Marzieh embarked on a transformative path, widened her view to a globalized identity shaped by experiences of traveling around the world. The diverse cultures and artistic traditions she encountered further enriched her artistic perspective, and consequently her artworks. Her works now embody a unique visual language, seamlessly blending the ancient and the modern art, reflecting the concept of “patchwork identity” and her globalized cultural vision.
For Marzieh, painting is not only a source of personal enrichment and self-exploration but also another means to connect with others. Alongside her artistic endeavors, she shares her knowledge and insights as a university lecturer. Through teaching, presenting papers in conferences, and actively participating in social interactions, Marzieh fosters connections, expands her horizons, and embraces the vibrant tapestry of the “patchwork identity” and the artistic world.
